EarlyON Child and Family Centres

EarlyON Child and Family Centres provide programming for children and families.  We offer a range of services and resources where you can:

• join fun activities such as storytelling, arts, science, sing-alongs and games
• get advice from professionals trained in early childhood development
• find out about other family services in your community
• connect with other families with young children

Program Descriptions;
Play & Learn: Child-led and a play-based approach to support healthy child development while engaging children and their parents or caregivers.  Sensory experiences, songs, rhymes and stories are provided for continued childhood growth.  Open to children ages 0-6 years old and their families. 
Baby Play: Families with children aged 0-18 months can play, learn and explore.  Parents and caregivers can ask questions related to feeding, growth and development, and community resources.  

The following are monthly highlighted programs that do NOT require registration.

Well Baby with a Public Health Nurse
Parents and caregivers of babies ages 0-18 months attend a Baby Play program to get support with breastfeeding, growth and development, maternal health, and more from a Public Health Nurse.  Drop-in during Baby Play programs in;

Virtual Circle Time EVERY Tuesday & Wednesday at 9:00 AM
Join us on MS Teams for 15 to 20 minutes of your favourite EarlyON songs, rhymes, and stories to participate along with your littles ones.

Service Canada Special Visitor
Receive information and support on a variety of topics, including applying for a Social Insurance Number (SIN); applying for, and accessing Employment Insurance (EI) Maternity, Parental, and Caregiving benefits; applying for the Canadian Dental Care Program (CDCP); and more.

Infant Massage 
A program designed to teach parents and caregivers of infants (aged 0-12 months) a warm, nurturing, bonding experience through touch over five sessions together.

Literacy at the Library 
Play & Learn Exploring discovery baskets can help foster early literacy. 
Join us at the Simcoe Library to build connections, encourage language, and spark curiosity!

Mother Goose 
Parents/Caregivers and their infants aged 0-12 months come together weekly for four sessions for conversations, songs & rhymes. 
Starting Wednesday April 8
SIMCOE 1:30 PM

Gym Time 
Meet us at the gymnasium to help children develop their gross motor skills through running, jumping, throwing, balancing, and most important play! 
SIMCOE Tuesday April 7 & 21 at 2:00-3:00 PM

Simcoe Play & Eat 
Join us for dinner during Evening Play & Learn in Simcoe! 
Dinner will be served around 5:45 PM April. 7, 14, 21, 28 
(Reservation encouraged to assist with grocery shopping)
