Groups & Workshops for Young People & Caregivers
H-N REACH offers both virtual and in-person group programs and workshops for children, youth and their parents or caregivers on an as needed basis. Groups help children and youth who are working through common problems to find solutions and build support with others. Parents/caregivers can choose from on-going weekly groups as well as multi-week curriculum based groups. Please continue to check our Upcoming Events for information about groups.

Building & Honouring Relationships - Expression Session
About: The Mental Fitness Series teaches youth specific skills to grow and maintain their mental health.
Drawing from the teachings of the teachings of the Two Row Wampum, this virtual expression session teaches youth strategies about growing and being in healthy relationships while making their own Two-Row Wampum backpack accessory.
With special quest Suzie Miller.

body image. Together, we will explore new ways to think and relate to yourself, including exposing the effects of diet culture, exercise culture, weight stigma, and social media

Gratitude is about being thankful for the things in life and showing appreciation for them. It’s a way of thinking and world view that is linked to happiness. This expression session helps children to grow and practice gratitude.

Temper Tamers
Temper Tamers is a virtual group for children between the ages of 7 - 11 and their caregivers who have concerns about anger, aggression and hostility in the family.
- Is TEMPER ruining your family fun?

- Do you and your child want to be “in charge” of TEMPER instead of TEMPER being “in charge of you?

Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Caregiver Support Group
The Haldimand-Norfolk Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Program Caregiver Group is available to all caregivers of children/youth diagnosed with FASD or suspected to have FASD residing in Haldimand or Norfolk. This group meets in person at the Townsend location monthly from September to June. The purpose of the group is to provide a safe space to share experiences, build FASD capacity together and make connections with other caregivers of children/youth living with FASD.
Eligibility
- Child/youth diagnosed or suspected to have FASD; a formal diagnosis of FASD is not required
- Child/youth up to 18 years of age, or up to 21 years of age and attending secondary school
- Reside in Haldimand or Norfolk county
