Infant & Child Development Services
The Infant and Child Development Service is a home base service. Infant and Child Development workers support families whose children are experiencing developmental challenges, or if parents and/or caregivers have concerns with their child’s development.
The Infant and Child Development Worker will:
With input from the family, identify each child’s strengths and goals using developmental assessments
Provide emotional support
Coordinate the Family Service Plan or Coordinated Service Plan, with the family and other service providers, which includes the family and child’s goals
Assist with transitional planning to licensed child programs and education systems
Assist with appointments
Provide assistance to families to access specialized funding
Eligibility
Available to children who:
Are between birth to school entry
Have been identified as being at risk of developmental delays
Have been identified with a developmental concern or disability
Were born premature
