Infant & Child Development Services

The Infant and Child Development Service is a home base service.  Infant and Child Development workers support families whose children are experiencing developmental challenges, or if parents and/or caregivers have concerns with their child’s development.

The Infant and Child Development Worker will:

  • With input from the family, identify each child’s strengths and goals using developmental assessments

  • Provide emotional support

  • Coordinate the Family Service Plan or Coordinated Service Plan, with the family and other service providers, which includes the family and child’s goals

  • Assist with transitional planning to licensed child programs and education systems

  • Assist with appointments

  • Provide assistance to families to access specialized funding


Available to children who:

  • Are between birth to school entry

  • Have been identified as being at risk of developmental delays

  • Have been identified with a developmental concern or disability

  • Were born premature
