Autism Respite
The Autism Respite Program is enhanced funding that has been offered to families living with a child or children with autism. This program is to provide respite services to families found eligible through the Ministry of Children & Youth Services guidelines.

Autism Respite Services
• Overnight respite (self-administered, licensed host family providers or children's residential respite home.
• Hourly respite through the use of a respite worker (self - administered).
• Choice of screened workers/host providers through REACH.
• Flexible respite funds to pay for community activities for the child.
• Specialized training for respite workers and families around supporting the individual with autism.

Autism Respite Program Criteria
• Has diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorders including Autism, Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD), Aspergers, Rhetts, and Child Disintegrative Disorder.
• Is under the age of 18.
• Has completed a Special Services at Home (SSAH) diagnostic form or a diagnostic statement from a physician or psychologist to verify eligibility for this service.
