Better Together began as a one day cross-sector symposium for community leaders and citizens to learn more about the benefits of diversity in Haldimand and Norfolk and to help develop a plan that will continue to build on a welcoming community to the diverse groups living in and visiting Haldimand and Norfolk.

As a result of the symposium, a working committee was formed to carry on the plan developed at the Better Together symposium.  This working committee is comprised of community members and agency representatives from various sectors including health, social services, government, business, travel and tourism, education, faith and justice.
