Pandemic Planning
Please be advised that the Public Health Agency of Canada has issued a health alert for the H1N1 influenza. H-N REACH has developed an agency wide Pandemic Response Plan which is currently in effect. The agency is working in partnership with the Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit and several of our community service partners.

H-N REACH will maintain levels of services to the degree possible during the course of a pandemic occurrence. Although services may be modified, (such as the use of telephone or email support rather than face-to-face contact for some programs), the goal of the agency plan is to support our service participants to the degree possible throughout the pandemic period while maximizing staff and client safety and minimizing the transmission of infection.

Throughout this pandemic period, H-N REACH will focus its efforts on:
  • protecting the health of clients, staff and volunteers;
  • taking precautions to limit the transmission of infection;
  • maintaining maximum level of services as applicable and practical;
  • providing up-to-date information and maintaining required communications with board, staff and funders;
  • supporting the Haldimand and Norfolk counties pandemic response plans.
In order to protect our service participants, staff and volunteers, we ask that you self screen before coming to any of our program sites or offices. Please monitor for any flu like symptoms including; fever, cough, shortness of breath and muscle aches. If you experience any of these symptoms, please contact your worker to cancel your appointment and reschedule for a future date.
